15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise

It is only an ignoramus who lives life without considering the interest and will of God. A man of understanding will always seek the will of God and pursue it. Sin is doing your own thing. Sin is going your own way and disregarding what God wants and has commanded. To repent is to turn from your own way and start walking in God’s way. To repent is to surrender to God’s will only. It is to live for God’s pleasure and not yours or another. It is to do things that honour God. It is to speak and act in such a way that God will be honoured and glorified.
If God owns you, it means he owns your gifts, talents, money, and property, all you are and have now and in future. Giving God your time and energy should not be difficult if you have this understanding. Using your talent, training, and gifts to honour and serve God should be your delight. Giving God your money should not be difficult if you truly understand who you are and whose you are. You are a child of God and God’s possession. All you have comes from God.
James 1:17-18
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Give your all to God. Surrender to Him and serve Him with everything you are and have.
