SHUT THE DEVIL OUT BY OVERCOMING THE ENEMY WITHIN

Ecclesiastes 10:8

8. He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

The enemy outside is not the major problem we have. If the doors of our lives are closed to evil, the enemy will never prevail over us. If you don’t trust the Lord with all your heart and walk with Him in faithfulness and holiness, the enemy within will keep opening the door for the enemy without to come in. The enemy within is SELF and THE EVIL HABITS AND CHARACTER living in each man. You have to focus on that enemy and fight it with everything you have got. When you win this enemy and shot him down, then you have locked the door of your life and the enemy without can never win over you no matter how much he tries.

Sin breaks the hedge (invisible wall of defence around the believer). When one breaks the hedge, the serpent (the devil) will gain access and strike the believer. Sin attracts devils. Where the carcass (dead flesh) is, the flesh eaters like the vultures) will gather to feed. That speaks of what attracts devils. Sin attracts devils. Where sin is, demons will show up. To lock the devil out, we need to overcome sin by submitting to the Lord Jesus and walking in the spirit.

When you pray that all your enemies will die, I am sure your mind does not go to the enemy within. It is focused on the outside enemy who is behind all the pains and frustrations of your life. I believe we should direct our entire arsenal on the enemy within. For when we are free and have won control over our thoughts, emotions and will and brought them under full control of the new nature and Holy Spirit living within us, then we have rendered the enemy without powerless and ineffective in our lives and affairs. God will always keep His word and protect us to the maximum as we walk with Him in total obedience and submission; and you will not have to worry over your enemies or who is attacking you or what they are planning as is the preoccupation of many Christians today.

Receive grace to walk in dominion over self and all evil habits and character in your life in Jesus name. May your life be closed to the enemy forever in Jesus name.
