HIS PURPOSE DOES NOT CHANGE

Isa 14:27

27 For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

NIV

The purpose and plans of God do not change. He sticks to His plans and makes them come true. Because He is unchanging and has all power to make all His plans and purposes come to pass, He sticks to them and they come true.

Isa 46:9-11

9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. 11 From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.

NIV

God has no one greater than Him, as a result, no one can stop Him, annul His plans and purpose for man, a people, a family, an organization or the Church. To give man assurance that He will do what He has revealed, He swears by Himself since there is no one higher than Himself to swear by. This is to give assurance that He will fulfill His promise.

Isa 14:24

24 The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.

NIV

God’s purpose is unchanging in nature. No one can change the plan and purpose of God. You cannot fast forward or delay it. He works with His own timetable. That’s why He makes all things beautiful in His time and not our time. By two unchanging or immutable things He reveals that His promise is sure and will not fail.

a. He is unchanging and as a result, His words (promises) are unchanging.

b. He swore an oath by Himself to give assurance. When God swears, you

know God is given double assurance that the promise cannot fail.

Heb 6:13-20

13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. 16 Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

NIV

Rom 11:29

29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. NKJV

Identify His purpose for your life and pursue it, and He will back you up to make it come true. His calling determines the gift He gives you, and both are irrevocable. Be dogged and committed to the assignment He has called you to fulfill on earth and you will be happy you did. Do not pursue your ambition and abandon His purpose and plan for your life. Trust Him enough to surrender to His will for your life.

Receive grace to identify, pursue and stay focused on the purpose and plan of God for your life in Jesus name.
